Massage Therapy

Whether for physical rehabilitation, relaxation, or mental health, regular massages can be a powerful addition to a well-rounded self-care routine.

Meet the Therapist

Jodie Davies has proudly called the Central Coast home for 15 years. Her interest in alternative medicine began early, and after her first massage and chiropractic adjustment at 20, she was convinced of the healing power of skilled bodywork.

Following a car accident that left her with chronic pain, Jodie experienced significant relief through massage and chiropractic care, sparking a deeper passion for complementary and alternative medicine (CAM).

In 2002, Jodie enrolled in the Southern California School of Massage (SCSM) with a goal to help others through healing touch. She earned her Massage Technician Certification and gained valuable hands-on experience at a sports and injury center.

Jodie went on to complete over 1,000 hours of coursework, earning certifications in Massage Therapy and Holistic Health. Her expertise spans Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue, Acupressure, TMJ, Prenatal, Reflexology, Sports Massage, and more. Known for her intuition and nurturing nature, she customizes treatments to support each client's healing journey.

A homeschooling mom of three, Jodie feels fortunate to raise her family surrounded by the beautiful wild spaces of the Central Coast. She enjoys daily yoga, and you can often find Jodie with her hands in the dirt expanding her native and edible gardens or tending to her various farm animals.

Benefits of Massage Therapy

Pain Relief

Massage can help reduce muscle tension, soreness, and chronic pain, particularly in the back, neck, and shoulders.

Improved Circulation

By enhancing blood flow, massage promotes oxygen and nutrient delivery to tissues, which aids in muscle recovery and overall wellness.

Flexibility and Range of Motion

Regular massages can improve flexibility by loosening tight muscles and increasing range of motion.

Enhanced Recovery

Athletes and active individuals benefit from faster recovery and reduced muscle stiffness after intense physical activity.

Boosted Immunity & Energy Levels

Some studies suggest that massage can enhance the body’s immune response by reducing cortisol levels and increasing lymphocyte activity. Many people experience an increase in energy after a massage due to improved circulation and tension release.

Stress & Anxiety Reduction

One of the most well-known benefits of massage is its ability to reduce stress by lowering cortisol levels, which helps improve overall mood. Massage stimulates the production of serotonin and dopamine, which are neurotransmitters that help reduce anxiety and combat depression.

Better Sleep

Massage can promote relaxation, often leading to better sleep quality and reduced insomnia symptoms.

Improved Focus and Mental Clarity

The relaxation effects of massage can lead to better focus, concentration, and mental clarity.

Detoxification

Massage can aid the lymphatic system in removing toxins from the body, contributing to overall wellness.

Relaxation

It’s an excellent way to take a break from the daily grind, reset mentally, and nurture the body.
