What is Chiropractic Care?

Chiropractic care is a healthcare discipline that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing disorders related to the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine. Many health issues can stem from misalignments in the spine, known as subluxations, which can affect the nervous system and overall body function.

Through manual adjustments, chiropractors realign the spine and other joints, aiming to restore proper movement and reduce pain. This approach is often used to treat back pain, neck pain, headaches, and joint problems, while also promoting overall health and well-being. Chiropractic care is a natural, non-invasive treatment option that emphasizes the body’s ability to heal itself without the use of medication or surgery.

Meet the Doctor

Dr. Aram Casparian is rooted in the understanding that a balanced body heals itself spontaneously and completely by its own innate and natural intelligence.

He has been blessed to serve as a chiropractor for 18 years. His unique approach is informed by Sacro-Occipital and Diversified techniques as well as Chiropractic Biophysics. His is a truly holistic approach involving multiple body systems. He continues to immerse himself in study––for the past several years primarily in movement and fascia systems. Most recently, in the last few years, his practice has evolved to include the spiritual, psychological, and emotional bodies, as his own awakening has impressed that imperative.

Dr. Aram knew that chiropractic was his path from an early age. He received his first adjustment at 15 years old after a car accident left him with severe neck pain, allergies, headaches, as well as vision and concentration issues. His symptoms resolved with chiropractic treatment and he immediately understood the purpose of his passion for anatomy and physiology.

Dr. Aram pursued an undergraduate degree in Food Science at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, and his strong interest in nutrition and sustainable agriculture informs his approach today. After four years working in the nutritional supplement and homeopathic remedy business, the original vision of a career in chiropractic called him back. He achieved his Doctor of Chiropractic at Life Chiropractic College West in 2007.

He lives with his two sons and partner Sharayah in Los Osos where you will find him on the trails or on the water most days. He is proud to have Coast Wellness Center sponsor the SLO Gravel bike racing team and is looking forward to lining up with the squad for the 2026 season!
